S24 Farms Private Limited is located over in Bandra West, right on Hill Road. We are in the Bay View Apartments, which is up on the tenth floor near Mehboob Studio. It might seem a bit strange to have a farm company in the middle of a busy city like Mumbai, but this is where we handle all the planning and the logistics. Out here, the streets are always crowded and there’s noise from the traffic all day long. It is very different from the quiet of the actual fields. We spend our time here on the phone or on computers, making sure the operations running elsewhere are going smoothly. It’s a small office, and we often have people coming in and out for meetings. We started this because we saw a gap between where the food is grown and where it ends up. Being in Bandra helps us stay connected to the markets and the people who actually buy the produce. It gets a bit hectic trying to manage everything from a city apartment, but it works for us. We keep track of the harvests and the transportation schedules from right here. Sometimes the elevators are slow or the rain makes the commute a mess, but the work doesn't stop. We are just a small team trying to bridge that gap. It’s mostly about staying organized and making sure the farm side of things is supported properly from this end.
