Our office is in Jogeshwari East, specifically at Shop Number 13 in Building Number 3, A Wing of Vishweshawar Chs Ltd. It’s on the Ajgaonkar Plot. If you’ve ever been to Jogeshwari, you know it’s packed and busy. We deal with Ratnagiri Alphonsos, which are very popular mangoes, but we don’t just sit around eating them. There’s a lot of work involved in the logistics of getting them from the orchards to the city. During the season, the phone never stops ringing. The rest of the year, we’re busy planning and handling the business side of things. The shop is small and usually has boxes stacked up. We aren't a big corporation. We’re just a small team in a housing society shop. The 400060 area is our home base. We spend a lot of time talking to growers and then talking to buyers. It's a lot of coordinating. Sometimes we get frustrated with the traffic when we’re trying to move stock around the city. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just want to make sure the fruit gets where it's going without getting bruised or spoiled. It's simple, honest work. The office can get a bit stuffy in the heat, so we usually have the door open to catch whatever breeze comes through the alley. We’ve been here for several seasons now.
