Kokanastha Agro Products Private Limited

Our little company is tucked away in Mulund East, Mumbai. We are in the Ganeshdham building on V.B. Phadke Road. If you know the Neelam Nagar area, we are right there. Dealing with agro products in the middle of a city like Mumbai might seem a bit odd, but it’s where the connections happen. We handle a lot of stuff coming in from the Konkan region. That’s our roots, really. We spend our time checking quality and making sure the transport from the farms to the city doesn’t ruin the goods. It’s a lot of phone calls and sitting in traffic. Mumbai is a busy place and getting things moved from one spot to another is always a headache. We aren't a big operation with thousands of employees. Just a few of us here in G 101 trying to keep the business running. We get all sorts of products, from fruits to grains, depending on the time of year. The office usually smells like whatever came in that morning. Sometimes it’s mangoes, sometimes it’s something else. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. Most people find us through word of mouth. We just try to be fair and do a decent job. It’s not always perfect and we make mistakes, but we fix them and move on. That’s just the way we operate here in Mulund. We are just regular people trying to make a living.
