Our place is right opposite Jogeshwari station, in Star Residency. Room 704 to be exact. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy it gets around the stations. The trains are constantly running and there's a lot of noise from the crowds below, but it's home for us. We do poultry work. It's not the cleanest job in the world, but it's what we know best. The office is a bit small, especially when we have a few people over to talk about deliveries or supplies. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating things with the farms. Traffic in Jogeshwari is a nightmare, so we mostly stay put in the office during the day. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs when things get a bit slow. It's a 400102 area code, right in the heart of things. We've got paperwork everywhere because the poultry business involves a lot of tracking. It’s just a few of us here. We don't really have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets it. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We’ve been in this building for some time now. You can see the tracks from the window if you lean out a bit and the breeze is nice. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. We just keep the wheels turning and get the poultry products where they need to go. It's honest work.
