We are based in Tilaknagar, Mumbai, which is a pretty crowded part of the city. Our office is on the first floor of building number 58, in the Tilak Ganesh society. It’s not what you’d expect for a company with Intercontinental in the name, but we like it here. Mumbai is a busy place to do business, and we spend most of our time on the phone or on the computer dealing with trade stuff. There’s always noise from the street and the local trains nearby. We aren’t some big corporate firm with a lobby and a receptionist. It’s just a few of us in a room with a lot of files and tea cups. We handle the paperwork for moving goods around, mostly agricultural stuff since that’s our background. Tilaknagar is where we started and we’ve stayed here because it’s easy to get around. We don't have a lot of fancy slogans. We just try to get the shipping and the orders right so people don't get angry. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to people in different ports or cities. Some days it’s very stressful with the traffic and the deadlines, but we’ve been doing this for a while now.
