Shri Gram Panchayat Sanchalit Madhyamik School

This school is run by the local Gram Panchayat here in Dhrangadhra. We’re tucked away in Surendra Nagar. It’s a secondary school, so we deal with the older kids who are finishing up their basic schooling. Being run by the village council means we don’t have a lot of extra money, but we make do with what we have. The rooms are a bit small and it gets hot in the afternoons. Most of the teachers live nearby, so we’re all part of the same community. We see the parents at the market or the temple. It’s a very local operation. We don’t do big advertisements or anything like that. The students are mostly from farming families around here. They work hard. We try to give them a decent education so they can maybe go to college in the bigger towns later. The school building has been standing for quite a while. It needs a fresh coat of paint, honestly. But the roof doesn't leak and the benches are sturdy enough. Dhrangadhra is a small place, so news travels fast here. If a kid misses class, we usually hear why before the day is over. It’s just a normal village school doing its part. Every day we just show up and do what needs doing to keep the place running for the local kids.
