Juna Nagdavas Primary School

Working with primary school kids here in Juna Nagdavas means there is never a dull moment. Located in the C N Dangar area of Morbi, we are a small school that focuses on the little ones. The building is low and spread out, with bright drawings pinned up all over the place. We have a lot of noise here, mostly laughter and the sound of kids running around during their breaks. The classrooms are filled with small chairs and tables that always seem to be slightly out of alignment. We do not have a lot of expensive equipment, so we make do with what we have. A lot of our teaching involves showing the kids things they can see and touch in the world around them. The dirt in the yard gets everywhere, especially on the kids' uniforms, but that is just part of being a child. We have a few old trees that provide some shade for the students when they are outside. The parents are mostly local workers who drop their children off on their way to work. We know most of them by face if not by name. It is a very local operation. We do not have a website or a fancy office. If you want to talk to us, you just walk up to the gate and wait for someone to come out. It is a simple place where we try to give the kids a decent start.
