Shree Mahila Mandal Sanchalit Madhyamik Shala

Our school is located in Dhrangadhra, and it is a place where we focus on secondary education for the girls in our community. It has been run by the Mahila Mandal for a long time now. The building sits in a quiet part of town, which is nice because it stays relatively calm during the day. We have a simple courtyard where the students gather in the morning for their assembly. The walls are lined with posters about science and literature that have been there for years. We do not spend money on flashy things. Instead, we make sure we have enough benches for everyone and that the roof does not leak when the monsoon hits. The teachers are mostly local women who understand the challenges the students face. We spend a lot of time talking to the girls about their futures and making sure they keep up with their studies. It is a very practical environment. We do not have a big library, but we have a collection of books that get passed around until the covers are worn thin. The lunch hour is always lively, with everyone sharing food and talking at once. We are just a group of people trying to keep this school running for the benefit of the local families. It is honest work, and we are glad to be doing it here in Surendranagar. Every day is a bit different, but the goals stay the same.
