Shree Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Vidyalaya

Our school is located out on the Dhrangadhra Halvad Road at the Uma Sankul. It is a bit away from the main town center of Dhrangadhra, so it is usually a bit quieter, except for the sound of the trucks passing by on the main highway. We get a lot of kids from the surrounding rural areas and the edges of the town. The campus is spread out, and we have a lot of open ground which gets very dry and brown in the summer months. People around here know us as Shree Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Vidyalaya. We have built it up slowly over time. It is not a luxury institution by any means. The walls are painted a simple color, and the furniture is very basic. We have a lot of students who are the first in their families to really stay in school for this many years. The teachers live nearby or commute from other parts of Surendra Nagar. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily logistics, like making sure the classrooms are ready each morning. It is a lot of work to keep a school running in this heat, but we just do it. There is no big secret to how we operate. We follow the state board rules, conduct our tests, and watch the kids grow up year by year. It is a practical place for local people who want their children to get an education in a familiar environment.
