R. J. Exports

R. J. Exports is my business, and we are based on Peerzada Street. We are very near the Imali Wali Masijid, which is a very old and well-known landmark in this part of town. The street is quite narrow and is always filled with the sounds of the local market. There are vendors selling food and people moving about all day long. Our building is an older structure that has been in use for a long time. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is where we handle all our export activities. We don't have a big corporate office or fancy furniture. Instead, we have stacks of boxes and a lot of ledgers. My day usually starts early before the street gets too crowded. I spend a lot of time checking on shipments and making sure everything is labeled correctly. It is a lot of small details that you have to get right. I have a couple of guys who help with the loading, and we have a small desk where we do all the typing and filing. The atmosphere is very informal. We know most of the people who work on this street, and we often stop to talk to our neighbors. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, based on knowing people and doing what you say you will do. It’s not always easy with the traffic and the noise, but it’s where we belong.
