G L Glass is situated over at Plot No.172 in Adarsh Nagar, which is right next to Lajpat Nagar. You can find us pretty easily because we are near the Eidgah Power House. Dealing with glass is a delicate business, so our place is full of crates and specialized racks to keep everything from breaking into pieces. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the different types of glass we keep. We spend our days cutting glass to size and loading it onto trucks for local customers who are building or repairing things. It’s a lot of manual labor and you have to be very careful where you step. The floor is usually covered in small scraps, though we try to sweep up as often as we can so nobody gets hurt. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The neighborhood is mostly industrial and residential mixed together, so it’s a bit noisy with all the activity. Being near the power house means we always have a landmark to tell people when they get lost looking for us. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we have, you just walk into the warehouse and we’ll show you the different sheets of glass we have in stock. It’s a no-nonsense operation. We work hard, deal with the occasional breakage, and try to keep our customers happy without any big promises or corporate talk. It’s just us and the glass, every single day.
