Ek Onkar Smart School

If you live in Janta Nagar in Kharar, you have probably passed by our school a few times. It is tucked away in the neighborhood, away from some of the heavier Mohali traffic but still easy to find. The mornings here are always the same, lots of parents dropping off their kids and the sound of school bags clinking. We have a modest building that we try to keep in good shape for the students. It is a school where the teachers actually know the parents by sight. We have classrooms filled with desks and posters on the walls that the kids made. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy during the recess breaks, but that is how a school should be. We don't have a giant campus, but we make use of every bit of space we have for the children to run around a bit. The office is usually cluttered with notebooks and attendance registers. We spend our days making sure the lessons are on track and the water coolers are full. It is a simple operation run by people who live right here in the area. When the final bell rings in the afternoon, the whole street gets busy for twenty minutes and then everything goes quiet again. We aren't trying to be some massive institution, just a local school for the families around Kharar who want a place close to home.
