Blossoms Convent School

We are located on Old Shiv Mandir Road in the Naya Gaon area of Chandigarh. This part of the city is a bit more tucked away, so it’s not as fast-paced as the main sectors. The road is named after the temple nearby, and you can often hear the temple bells in the early morning. Our school building is a few stories high with a small courtyard in the middle. We don’t have a massive field, but the kids use the courtyard for their physical education and for playing during lunch. The walls are a pale color and we have some plants in pots near the entrance to make it look a bit more lively. Naya Gaon has a mix of narrow streets and newer houses, so finding us for the first time might take a minute if you aren't familiar with the landmarks. Most of the teachers here have been with us for a long time, so they know all the families in the neighborhood. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology; it’s mostly just chalkboards and notebooks. The kids bring their lunches from home, and the smell of different parathas fills the hallways around noon. When the rainy season comes, the road outside can get a bit muddy, but we just put down some mats. It’s a local school for local people, and we just focus on the daily tasks of running the place.
