Triveni International School

Triveni International School sits out at the 13 Mile Stone, just near the main Baghpat Road in Meetli. It’s a bit of a drive for some of us, but you get used to the commute after a few months. The school is right there in Baghpat - 250601, and you can see the building from a distance when you're coming down the road. It’s a bit dusty because of all the traffic passing by on the way to the city, but the school grounds are kept mostly clear. Every morning, the buses roll in and the whole place just wakes up suddenly. We have a lot of rooms to look after and sometimes the cleaning crew has a hard time keeping up with the mud the kids bring in during the rainy season. It isn't perfect, and the playground could probably use some new grass, but it serves the purpose. We drink a lot of tea in the staff room between periods while we talk about the latest news from the village. The walls are painted a simple color and we try to hang up a few charts here and there to make it look decent. It's a practical setup for the students around here. Most of the families are farmers or work in small shops nearby, so we see a lot of different people coming through the doors every day. There is always someone fixing a fence or painting a door somewhere on the property.
