Lala Jagannath Saraswati Shishu Mandir

Lala Jagannath Saraswati Shishu Mandir is right on the G T Road in Meerut City. If you know Meerut, you know how much traffic flows through that road at all hours of the day and night. Our school has been a landmark in this area for a long time, and the building reflects that history with its older style of architecture. We have a lot of stairs and narrow hallways that stay a bit dark even during the middle of the day. The noise from the G T Road is constant, but we have lived with it for so long that we don't even notice the horns anymore. We spend a lot of time cleaning the windows because the soot from the passing trucks settles on everything. It is a busy place to work, but we have a good routine down. Every morning we open up the main office and start setting out the registers for the staff. The playground is a bit small and tucked behind the main building to keep it away from the street. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or fancy labs, just basic classrooms with chalkboards and rows of benches. Meerut is a place with a lot of character, and our school is just one of those old spots that people have been walking past for generations. We just try to keep the place running smoothly and make sure the kids have a safe spot to be.
