Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School

Over in the Cantt area of Meerut, things are a bit different than the rest of the city. It is much greener and the roads are wider. Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School is located at 227, West-End Road. It is a nice spot because there are big trees along the street that provide a lot of shade. The building itself is an older style, which is common for this part of the Meerut Cantt. When you walk through the entrance, it feels a bit more secluded from the traffic noise of the main town. The classrooms are large and have high ceilings, which helps keep them cool. During the day, you can hear the teachers giving their lessons and the sound of bells every hour. We have a big driveway where the school buses park and a field where the students go for their physical education classes. The staff has been here for a long time, and many of us know the families in the neighborhood quite well. It is a quiet environment compared to the markets in the center of Meerut. We spend our mornings getting the registers ready and our afternoons making sure all the students get on their buses safely. There is always some maintenance work going on, like fixing a leaky tap or painting a fence. It is just a regular public school where people come to do their work and the kids come to attend their classes on West-End Road.
