J S Higher Secondary School sits right on the corner where Delhi Road meets Ghopla Road in Meerut. Being on such a main road means there is always something going on outside our gates. We have been part of the 250103 community for quite some years. The school building is a solid, older structure that has seen a lot of students pass through its doors. We have classrooms for all the different grades and a bit of space for the kids to run around during their breaks. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have a lot of high-tech equipment, but we have teachers who show up every day and do their jobs. Most of our students come from the surrounding villages and the outskirts of Meerut. Dealing with the dust from the Delhi Road is a constant battle, but we keep the place as tidy as we can. We aren't trying to be the most expensive or the most famous school around; we just provide a place for local kids to get their secondary education. The office is usually busy with parents coming in to pay fees or ask about exams. It’s a hard-working environment and we just take things one day at a time. If you’re looking for us, just look for the big gate on Ghopla Road. It's a plain, simple school that’s been here for the neighborhood since the beginning.
