Our spot is right in Aggarwal Mandi Tatiri, so there’s always something happening nearby with the local market and people moving around. Being here in Baghpat means we see a lot of the same faces every day. The school itself isn’t anything too flashy to look at, just a solid building where we keep the classrooms tidy. We have a lot of kids from the surrounding villages who come in early. Some days are louder than others, especially when there’s a local festival or if the weather is making everyone a bit restless. The desks are the old-fashioned kind, and they’ve seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our mornings checking uniforms and making sure the registers are filled out properly. It can get a bit cramped when everyone is inside at once, but we manage just fine. There’s a small patch of ground where the kids run around during the break. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the doors wider for light. It’s a plain place, really. We just focus on the daily stuff, like getting through the math and English books before the exams come around. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so it feels more like a small neighborhood gathering than anything else. We don’t have any big advertisements, as people around the mandi already know where we are and what we do.
