You can find us over in Kabadi Bazar, right on Sharda Road. We are very close to the Shiv Mandir, which is a good landmark if you aren't familiar with this part of the city. The bazar is always full of life, especially in the mornings when everyone is setting up their shops. At Ram Hardware And Steel, things can get a little cramped because we try to keep a lot of different items on the shelves. It’s a typical hardware store where you might have to move a few boxes to find exactly what you are looking for. The bells from the Mandir are quite loud during the prayers, and it gives a nice feel to the workday. Sharda Road is usually packed with cycles and scooters, so parking can be a bit of a gamble some days. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals who come in needing a specific bolt or a piece of steel for a repair at home. It is a simple life here. We don't use any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is just written down or remembered. The shop smells like metal and old dust, which is how a hardware place should be. We’ve known some of the other shopkeepers in Kabadi Bazar for years. It's just a regular local business doing its thing near the temple. Most afternoons involve checking the ledger and organizing the back bins so we can find things faster tomorrow.
