Palki Exports

If you find yourself on Baghpat Road, just look for Anurag Cinema, and we’re right across from it at 134, Ram Sadan. Palki Exports has been based here for quite some time. It's a busy stretch of road, so there's always the sound of horns and engines in the background while we work. The office isn't much to look at, just some old wooden desks and piles of shipping documents. We spend a lot of time on the phone, usually trying to track where a container is or why something got held up at the port. It's a lot of back-and-forth. The front door sticks a bit when it rains, but we've learned the trick to opening it. Inside, it's usually a bit of a mess with samples lying around on every available surface. We don't have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine that does anything special. Usually, we just send someone out for chai from the stall down the street. It’s hard work, and the days feel long when the heat picks up in the afternoon. Sometimes the power goes out, and we all just sit around for a bit until the generator kicks in. We’re just a small crew trying to keep things moving. Dealing with exports means there's always some form to fill out or some box that needs more tape. It's just what we do here at Ram Sadan every day, trying to stay on top of it.
