You can usually smell the soap before you even see the gate here on Delhi Road. We are situated near Venus Garden in Mohakampur. It’s an area that has changed a lot since Annu Soap Mills Pvt. Ltd. first set up. These days, the traffic on the main road is much heavier than it used to be. Inside the mill, it’s a lot of routine. Mixing, cutting, and packing happens every single day. We have a crew that knows the machines inside and out. Sometimes a belt breaks or a pump gets stuck, and we have to spend the morning fixing it instead of making soap, but that’s part of the life. We don’t have a big front office for visitors, mostly just the production area and the loading docks. It stays pretty humid inside because of the processes we use. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just focus on the batches we have to get out this week. It’s a practical setup. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood spot in a way. We’ve been at this Mohakampur location for a long time. The building is older, and it has its quirks, but it works for what we need. We just keep our heads down and keep the lines moving. There is always something to clean or a machine to oil.
