Nalanda Vidya Peeth J. H School is over here in Pallavpuram Phase 2. If you know the area in Modipuram, it’s not too hard to find us at P 312. It’s just a normal school where we spend our days. Most of the time it’s quite noisy because the kids are always running around or talking in the hallways between their classes. We’ve been at this spot in Meerut for a while now. The building has its quirks, like that one door that sticks sometimes or the way the light hits the back rooms in the afternoon. Teachers come in early to get things ready, and usually, someone is already sweeping the front steps by seven. It’s a bit dusty outside because of the road, but that’s just how it is around here. We don’t have fancy stuff, just the usual desks and chalkboards. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to get a breeze. Parents drop their kids off at the gate and move on with their work. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood. We focus on getting through the lessons every day. There’s always someone asking for a spare pencil or looking for a lost notebook. It’s just how a school feels when people are living their lives together in one building.
