Kamdhenu Refractories

The shop is located at Vehelana Chowk, right off Meerut Road. Being so close to National Highway 58 means there is always a layer of road dust on everything, but you get used to it after a week or two. At Kamdhenu Refractories, the day starts early before the sun gets too high and makes the warehouse unbearable. We handle a lot of refractory bricks and materials that go into furnaces and boilers. Most of our time is spent checking the inventory or helping drivers back their lorries into the small space we have for loading. It is physical work, and your hands usually end up pretty rough by the end of the shift. The neighbors around the chowk are mostly other businesses like ours, so there is a constant sound of engines and people shouting over the traffic. We do not have any big slogans or anything like that. We just focus on getting the right items out to the people who come looking for them. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the only thing that keeps us going during the busy stretches. It is a bit disorganized sometimes, with stacks of materials reaching the ceiling, but we know where everything is kept. The highway brings a lot of different people through, and it keeps things interesting even when we are just doing the same heavy lifting day after day. It’s just how we run things here.
