Indian Steel

We are Indian Steel, located over at Baghpat Gate in the Gosala Market area. It’s right near Tayal Nursing Home, so we get a lot of people using that as a guide to find us. Our yard is filled with all kinds of steel rods, sheets, and pipes, so it’s a heavy and loud environment. You’ll hear the clanging of metal being loaded onto trucks pretty much all day long. We spend most of our time out in the sun measuring things or checking the weight on the scale. It’s dirty work, and we usually end the day with rust on our clothes. The office is just a small cabin at the corner of the lot where we keep the invoices and take a break from the noise. Customers come in looking for specific sizes for their construction projects, and we have to go out and dig through the stacks to find what they need. Gosala Market is a busy place, and it can be a bit chaotic with all the different traders and vehicles. We’ve been at this location for years and have seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the steel business stays pretty much the same. We just focus on keeping the stock organized and getting the orders out to the sites as fast as the traffic allows. It is heavy work but it keeps us moving.
