Globe Metal & Glass Exports is situated near the Manjholi Chauraha on the main Delhi Road. It is a very busy intersection, so there is never a quiet moment with all the horns and engines. We deal with a lot of metal pieces and glassware here, which means we have to be careful how we move things around. The warehouse is a big open space with a high roof and plenty of shelves. There are usually crates being packed or unpacked near the loading dock. We spend our days checking the quality of the items and making sure they are wrapped up tight so nothing breaks. Glass is tricky to work with, and we have all had a few cuts over the years from handling it. The Delhi Road is a good place for us because the trucks can get in and out easily, even if the traffic at the Chauraha is bad. We don't have any fancy decorations in our office area; it is just a couple of desks and a lot of samples scattered around. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we are always dusting off the glass to keep it looking clear. Our team is small, mostly just local guys who know how to handle the materials without being too rough. It is a straightforward job and we focus on getting the shipments out when they are supposed to go.
