Kolhui Farmer Producer Company Limited

We started Kolhui Farmer Producer Company Limited right here in Manjhari village. It’s a quiet place near Mau, at house number one actually. Most of us here have been farming these fields for as long as we can remember. It wasn't always easy working on our own, so we decided to get together as a group. Dealing with the crops and getting things ready for market takes a lot of time and effort. We mostly spend our days out in the dirt, making sure things grow like they should. Being a farmer producer company just means we handle our own business now. There are quite a few of us involved from around the village. We share the work and the tools when someone needs them. It's a simple setup. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that, just our homes and the land. If you come by Post Mau and look for Manjhari, you'll find us easily enough. We are just local people trying to make a living off what we grow. It gets very hot out here during the harvest months, but that's just how it is for us. We take things one day at a time and try to help each other out when the weather gets rough or when the prices at the market start changing unexpectedly. That’s pretty much the whole story of how we ended up forming this company together. We wanted something that was ours. It keeps us busy from morning until late at night most weeks.
