Risingagro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out of Akbarpur, which is in the Shamho area. The office is at Satyendra Kumar’s place. We are all farmers from the village who decided to join up. It’s mostly about the land and what we can grow on it. We aren't experts in business, but we know how to farm. We started this producer company because we were tired of doing everything separately. Now we meet up at Satyendra’s and talk about what we need for the next season. It’s a real grassroots thing. Most of us have been living in Akbarpur or nearby in Saidpur Salha our whole lives. We know the soil here and what it needs. Sometimes the floods from the river make things difficult, but we just keep replanting. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning. It’s just a room with some chairs and a lot of paperwork. We spend more time in the sun than behind a desk anyway. People in the village know us as the local farmers. We aren't trying to be a big global company. We just want to make sure our small farms stay afloat and that we can provide for our kids. It's hard, honest work and we do it together as a group. If you're looking for us, we are usually around the farm or the house. It's just a bunch of guys from Shamho doing what we've always done for our families.
