Shri K L Arya Inter College

Shri K L Arya Inter College is located in the village of Pihura, which is part of the Madhaka post office area in Sadabad, Hathras. It is a bit of a drive to get out here if you are coming from the main town. The college is very much a part of the rural landscape. We have a large open area because land isn't as tight here as it is in the cities. Most of our students are from farming families in the surrounding villages. They often come to class on bicycles or by walking through the fields. The building is simple, mostly brick and cement, and we keep it as clean as we can. It gets very quiet during class time, except for the sounds of birds or a tractor passing by on the road. We deal with the usual issues of being in a village, like the electricity going out or the roads getting muddy when it rains. The staff is local too, so they understand the challenges the students face. We provide a place for them to study for their intermediate exams without having to travel too far from home. It is a practical setup meant to serve the local community. There is no pretense here; it is just a school where people work hard to get an education in a very traditional and simple environment.
