Down here in Vill- Vasdatta, life moves at its own pace. Nalanda H S School is right in the middle of it, near Madhaka in the Sadabad area of Hathras. Most of the folks around here are used to seeing the students walking down the dirt paths to get to class. It’s a simple setup we’ve got. The school isn’t some high-rise building; it’s more of a local spot where the village kids come to get through their higher secondary years. Since we are out in the country, things can get a bit quiet except when school is in session. We deal with the usual stuff like the power going out or the heat in the summer months. Everyone just gets on with it though. The teachers often come from nearby villages too, so there is a lot of chatting at the gate in the mornings. We have enough rooms for the different grades, and the furniture is basic but it works for what we need. It’s important for the kids in Hathras to have a place close to home. You won’t find any big fancy slogans here. We just open the doors, ring the bell, and start the day. Sometimes the cows from the nearby farms wander close to the fence, which the younger kids find funny. That’s just life in our part of 281306. We keep the blackboard clean and the chalk stocked up, and we make sure the roof doesn't leak when the rains come.
