Kanha Makhan Public School

Mathura is a busy place, and Kanha Makhan Public School is right in the middle of it. If you walk by our gates in the morning, you’ll hear the sound of the bell ringing and the kids rushing to get to their lines. It isn't always quiet here; in fact, it rarely is. Between the primary classes and the older students, there is always someone talking or a chair scraping against the floor. We have plenty of classrooms, and they all have that specific smell of old books and floor cleaner. The teachers here have been around for years, and they know most of the families in the neighborhood. It’s not a corporate setup where no one knows your name. We deal with the usual stuff like power cuts in the summer and making sure the water coolers are actually cold. The playground isn't perfect, but it gets the job done for cricket and running around. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily schedule and making sure the syllabus is moving along. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized during the annual functions, but we manage to pull through. It’s a regular school for regular people. We focus on the basics and try to make sure the kids stay out of trouble. There’s always a stack of papers to sign and parents coming in to ask about progress. It’s just a normal, busy day for all of us here.
