Sh V R H S School

Our school is located in Baji Ka Burj, which is a small village in the Jarau area of Sadabad. If you are coming from Hathras, you know it takes a bit of a drive to get out here. It is quiet for the most part, except when the kids are arriving in the morning. Sh V R H S School has been part of this community for years. Most of the families around here work in the fields or have small shops nearby. We see the same faces every day. The school building is pretty basic. It has white walls and heavy doors that stay open when the weather is nice. We have a few rooms for different classes. It gets dusty because of the roads, so we are always sweeping. The kids bring their own bags and sit at their desks. They are good kids, mostly. Sometimes they get distracted by things happening outside, but we keep them focused on their books. We don't have much in the way of big city equipment. We use chalkboards and paper. It works for us. The teachers come from the nearby villages too. We all know each other’s names and whose kid belongs to which family. After the final bell, the village goes back to being quiet again. It’s just how life moves here. We do what we can with what we have to make sure the children get their education without having to travel too far.
