Hotel Uppu Munchi

We are located on the first floor of the Sapthagiri Building at Kavoor Junction. If you’re familiar with Mangalore, you know Kavoor is a busy junction where several roads meet. We picked the name Uppu Munchi because it’s a flavor everyone around here knows, though we are a hotel and not just a kitchen. Being on the first floor means you have to walk up a bit, but it keeps us slightly away from the direct noise of the street. It’s a very local spot. We see a lot of people who are traveling through to other parts of Karnataka or people coming into the city for family functions. The building itself is pretty standard for this area. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; we just put out our sign and wait for people to come in. The rooms are what you’d expect for a local place. We spend our time making sure the fans work and the sheets are changed. It’s not always perfectly quiet because of the junction right outside, but it’s convenient. We like being in Kavoor because everything you need is just a short walk away. We’ve had all sorts of people stay with us over the years. It’s just a small business we run, trying to keep things practical for everyone who climbs the stairs to find us. We don't have fancy room service, but there are plenty of small shops downstairs if you need anything.
