Hotel Universal

You can find us on Azizuddin Road in the Bunder area of Mangalore. This part of town is always moving, especially with the port and the markets so close by. Hotel Universal has been around this neighborhood for quite some time now. We get a lot of traders and people coming in for the wholesale markets. It is a very old-school kind of area, and we fit right in with that vibe. We don't have any of those modern glass elevators or big breakfast buffets. It is a plain building where you get a room and a bed. The streets around Bunder are narrow and can get quite crowded with lorries and carts, so it’s always lively outside our door. Inside, we just try to maintain a bit of order. We know most of the regulars who come every month for their business trips. It’s a no-nonsense type of place. If you are looking for a place to relax by a pool, this isn't it. But if you need to be near the heart of Mangalore’s trading district, we are right there. The staff here has been with us for years, and we all just do what needs to be done. Sometimes we have to fix a leaky tap or deal with the humidity, but we just get on with it. It’s just a regular hotel for regular people who need to be in the Bunder area.
