Hotel Poonja International

Our hotel is right on K.S. Rao Road in the Hampankatta area of Mangalore. It’s a very busy part of the city, so there is always something going on outside our front door. We have been here for a long time, and the building has seen a lot of guests come and go over the decades. It’s a solid structure, though it doesn't look like those new glass buildings you see popping up. The rooms are big enough for a couple of people and their luggage. We have a dining hall where we serve breakfast and dinner. The food is local style, nothing too complicated or experimental. If you’re looking for the train station or the main bus stand, we are pretty close by, which is why a lot of travelers pick us. The traffic on K.S. Rao Road can be a bit of a headache during rush hour, so it’s noisy if your room faces the street. We try to keep things simple here. We don't have a gym or a fancy spa. It’s just a place to sleep and have a meal. The staff knows most of the regular guests by name. Sometimes the lift makes a funny noise, but it works fine for everyone. We just focus on keeping the place tidy and making sure everyone has what they need for their stay. It’s a practical choice for anyone who needs to be right in the center of town.
