Mahathma College

We are located right in the heart of Tirur in Malappuram. It’s a busy spot, and since we’re near the town center, there is always something going on outside the gates. The college has been part of the landscape here for quite a while. Students come from all over the district, often arriving by train and then walking over from the station. The building has that old-school feel to it, with thick walls and high ceilings that help a bit with the Kerala heat. We don't have a massive campus, so things can feel a bit crowded during the exam season when everyone is trying to find a spot to study. Our office is usually full of files and old registers that we haven't found a better place for yet. The staff often share tea from the local shop while talking about the day’s schedule. We deal with all sorts of daily issues, like broken fans or the printer running out of ink right when someone needs a form. It’s a very practical environment where we just focus on getting through the syllabus and helping students with their paperwork. There’s no corporate polish here, just a group of people working together to keep the college running. The monsoon rains can be quite loud on the roof, making it hard to hear anything else, but we just raise our voices and carry on with the work. We try to keep things simple and functional every single day.
