Sree Mangairkarasi Mill(P)Ltd

The mill is located at 7-2/14, Second Street in Visalakshinagar. This is in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, 625018. We have U.V. Saminathan here managing things. Madurai is quite a hot place, so the mill can get very warm during the middle of the day. The building is on the second street and it is quite large because of the machinery we have inside. You can hear the hum of the equipment from the street sometimes. It is a steady sound that we have all grown accustomed to over the years. We work in shifts to keep things moving along. The office part of the mill is just a small room with some old wooden desks and a few ledgers. We don't use a lot of fancy technology for the record-keeping, just the basics that work. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time. They live in the nearby areas of Madurai and walk or cycle to work. Visalakshinagar is a decent area with some houses and other small industrial units. We don't do any big advertising or have a flashy entrance. The gates stay open during the day for the workers and the trucks. It is just a traditional mill operation. We focus on the production and making sure the machines are oiled and running. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. The 625018 area is a bit industrial.
