Jindal Steel Plant , Salem

We are based in S.Melapatti, which is over by the Sandhaiyur Post in Peraiyur. Even though the name says Salem, we are actually located in the Madurai district. It can be a bit confusing for people who aren't from around here, but once you find the post office, we are pretty easy to spot. The area is mostly rural, so it’s a lot of open space around our site. We deal with steel and plant operations every day. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping track of what’s coming in and going out. We don’t have a big corporate office with air conditioning everywhere. It’s more of a hands-on type of place. Our staff lives nearby, so we are part of the local community here. We don't really do the whole corporate talk because we think our work should just speak for itself. We just show up, do the job, and go home. Sometimes the logistics of moving steel through these roads can be a bit tricky, but we’ve figured out the best routes over the years. It is a quiet life out here in Peraiyur, but the plant keeps us moving. If you happen to be passing through S.Melapatti, you’ll likely see our gate. We are just local folks running a local operation and we try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible.
