Ziama Fashion is located right by the Dairy Complex Octroi, opposite Hambarn Road in Haibowal Kalan. It’s a very specific part of town where you can often smell the hay and the livestock from the nearby complexes. The road out front, Hambarn Road, is always busy with people going to and from work. Our building is a simple two-story structure. It’s nothing special to look at from the outside, just some plain bricks and a heavy metal gate. Inside, we have our sewing units and a small space where we cut the fabric. The floors are often covered in loose threads and bits of lint, no matter how many times we sweep. We don't have a fancy office area with soft chairs. Most of us sit on stools or stand while we work. The windows are usually left open to let in some air, but that also lets in the noise of the traffic. We don't have any promotional slogans or big plans on the walls. We just have a list of orders that need to be finished by the end of the week. Sometimes we share a big pot of tea in the afternoon when things slow down for a few minutes. It’s a very local, down-to-earth kind of place. We’ve been in Haibowal Kalan for a while now and we like the neighborhood. It’s where we do our work and that’s about it.
