Freak Out

Freak Out is located on the ground floor of Chandan Tower, right on Pakhowal Road in Ludhiana. We are sitting right next to the CCD, so it’s a pretty easy spot to find if you’re driving down that way. We wanted a space that felt a bit different, somewhere people could come after a long day. The area around Pakhowal Road is always moving, with cars and people everywhere, especially in the evenings. Our place isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have in Chandan Tower. Usually, the afternoons are quiet, and that’s when we do most of the cleaning and reorganizing. Once the sun starts to go down, the crowd picks up and we get a lot of younger people coming in. We keep the music going and try to make sure everyone has a place to sit, though it gets tight on the weekends. The interior is simple—nothing too flashy, just some chairs and tables and some posters on the walls. Being at 141001 means we are right in the thick of things. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the air conditioning struggles with the Ludhiana heat, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a local business run by people who live nearby, so we see a lot of familiar faces coming through the door every week.
