Well Knit

Well Knit is located near the Bypass Road crossing on G.T. Road in New Lajpat Nagar. It’s a busy spot with trucks and cars zooming by all day. We’ve been here for a while, tucked away near the junction. Inside, it’s mostly yarn and knitting machines. We produce a lot of knitwear, mostly for people who need something warm and sturdy. The noise from the G.T. Road is always there, but we get used to it. We aren't a big corporation. It’s just a group of us who know how to work the looms. We spend our mornings checking the tension on the machines and making sure the wool is clean. It’s dusty work, and our clothes are always covered in lint. We don't have a fancy storefront. Most people come to the side door to ask about orders. We take things as they come. Sometimes we have too much work and have to turn people away, which is never fun. Other times, we are just waiting for the next shipment of yarn to arrive. We don't spend money on ads or flyers. The work we do speaks for itself when someone wears one of our sweaters. It’s a practical business. We focus on the machines and the thread, making sure things don't unravel. It’s just how we make our living out here by the highway.
