Vinod Knitting Works

Vinod Knitting Works is at No. 506 in Wait Ganj. We are pretty easy to find because we are right near the State Bank of India. That bank is a good landmark for people who haven't been to this part of town before. We do a lot of knitting work here, and the machines can be quite loud when they are all running at once. It’s a bit of an older building, so it has its quirks, like the occasional leaky pipe or a door that sticks in the rain. We don't mind much, it’s just home to us. The area around Wait Ganj is usually full of activity, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We start early too, often before the sun is fully up, to get the machines prepped. There is always lint on our clothes and yarn scraps on the floor, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a messy business but there is a certain rhythm to it that we like. We’ve been at No. 506 for years and most of the other shop owners nearby are like friends now. We aren't looking to expand into some big factory. We like the size we are and the way we do things. It’s just us and the knitting, keeping busy every single day with the needles and the thread and the constant hum.
