Verma Karyana Store has its home at 241, Industrial Area A, in Ludhiana. Being in the industrial zone means our days are shaped by the factory shifts. When the morning shift starts, we are already there, getting things ready. It’s a bit of a dusty environment with all the machinery and trucks nearby, but it is where the work happens. We focus on the basics here—flour, pulses, rice, and the like. Most of our regulars are the workers from the nearby units who need to pick up their monthly rations or just a snack for their break. We have big sacks of grain sitting on the floor because that’s the easiest way to handle the volume. Ludhiana is a tough, hardworking city, and this industrial area is the heart of it. Our shop isn't meant to be pretty; it’s meant to be useful. We have heavy wooden counters and shelves that have seen better days, but they hold up well under the weight of the stock. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with the demand when a lot of people come in at once after their shift ends. We just do our best to serve everyone fairly and keep the shelves from going empty. It’s a simple life, focused on the basics that people need to get through their work week. There are no fancy signs or gimmicks, just regular grocery items at a fair price.
