We are tucked away in Parking No.3 over in Transport Nagar. It’s a very busy place with trucks moving in and out at all hours. Being near Hari Masjid is helpful because the calls to prayer help us keep track of time during the day. At Ahmad International Trading Corporation, we deal with a lot of paperwork and moving goods. The office is small and usually filled with ledgers and files. It gets loud outside with the diesel engines idling. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. The dust from the transport yard is everywhere. We just brush it off the desks and keep working. It’s a practical environment. We don't have air conditioning that works all the time. Usually, we just leave the door open for a breeze. We talk to drivers and other traders all day long. It's a lot of negotiating and checking lists. We’ve been in Transport Nagar for many years. We know the other folks in Parking No.3. It’s a bit of a community of its own. We don't have a fancy website or anything. We just do our business face to face or over the phone. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but that’s just how trading goes. We manage the logistics and make sure things get where they need to go. It’s just a regular day for us in this dusty part of town. The work is steady and that's enough for us.
