You can find us over by the Jalandhar Bypass on G.T. Road West. It’s a spot where everyone is always on the move. Being near the bypass means we get a lot of dust from the road, but it’s a good location for getting things in and out. The factory floor is pretty big. We have rows of machines and people who know exactly what they’re doing. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we try to keep things friendly. Most of us have been here long enough to know each other’s families. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the fanciest. We just make sure the garments are stitched properly. Sometimes the materials arrive late and we have to scramble to catch up, which means some long evenings. The building has a tin roof in some parts, so when it rains, you can barely hear yourself talk. It’s just part of the job. We keep a small kitchen area for lunch, and that’s where most of the talking happens. People bring their own food and share stories. Outside, the traffic never really stops. We’ve got a small yard where we load the trucks. It isn't a perfect setup, but it’s ours and it works. We just keep our heads down, stay focused on the stitching, and make sure the orders are ready when they need to be. The Jalandhar Bypass can be a bit of a mess with all the construction, but we've gotten used to it.
