You can find Sujan Singh General Store on Jassian Road, specifically in the Friends Colony area near the Jalandhar Bye Pass Road in Ludhiana. Our location is quite easy to spot if you are coming from the main road. We are a standard local shop that carries everything from snacks to household cleaning supplies. Being near the Bye Pass means we get a mix of local residents and people who are just passing through the area. The shop has been a part of this colony for some time. We start our day by setting out some of the goods on the front platform so people can see what we have. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy bags and crates around. Ludhiana can get very cold in the winters and very hot in the summers, so we just adapt to the weather as it comes. We don't have any corporate training or fancy uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to people like we always have. The shelves are filled with jars of candies, packets of chips, and rows of bottled drinks. It’s not a very quiet place because of the road nearby, but we have gotten used to the noise. We just focus on keeping the inventory right and making sure the shop stays open for our regulars. It is a basic way of living and we are quite used to it.
