Sohan Provision Stores

Running Sohan Provision Stores at Jamalpur Chowk Hl/273 is a lot of work. The shop is right where the roads meet, so it is always noisy with the horns and the people walking past. I usually get here early to make sure everything is in its place before the morning rush starts. We have big bags of rice and flour stacked near the back and the smaller items like soaps and matches are closer to the front counter. The floor is old stone and it gets a lot of wear from all the feet coming in and out. I try to keep everything stocked up because people hate it when you run out of something simple like salt or washing powder. It gets really hot in the summer because the shop faces the sun in the afternoon, but we have a small fan that helps a bit. My family helps me out sometimes when it gets too busy. We don't have a big warehouse or anything, so I have to order things every few days to keep the shelves full. It’s just a regular shop for the people living nearby and those passing through the chowk. I spend most of my day chatting with regular customers while I pack their bags. It’s not a fancy life, but it keeps us going and we like seeing the same faces every day. There is always something to do, whether it's dusting the jars or checking the dates on the milk packets.
