Shreeramji Clothing is over at 1267 Mohalla Thapra. This is in the heart of old Ludhiana. The streets here are very narrow and you have to be careful when you are walking. We have been in this mohalla for many years. It is a traditional place and our business is run in a traditional way too. We do not have a fancy website or do any big advertising. People know us because we have been here so long. The building is old and the stairs are a bit steep. Inside, we have our sewing machines and piles of cloth everywhere. It is a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We make all kinds of garments here. The sound of the bazaar is always coming through the windows. It is a lively place to work. We do not have air conditioning, so we use big ceiling fans to keep cool. Our workers are like our neighbors, and we all know each other well. We do not use corporate jargon or talk about big business goals. We just want to make sure the clothing is made well and the prices are fair. It is a humble business, but it keeps us busy and provides for our families. We are just a part of the history of Mohalla Thapra and we plan to stay here.
