Shivtex Engineering Works

We’ve been at 55 Samrala Road Link Road for quite a while now. Most days start with opening up the shutters and letting some air into the workshop before the sun gets too high. It’s a busy spot here, you can hear the traffic and the noise from the other shops all day. We do a lot of engineering work, mostly involving metal parts and various machines that people bring in when they need something fixed or made from scratch. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop floor with tools scattered around and the smell of oil in the air. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. My brother and I run things mostly, along with a couple of guys who have been helping us since the beginning. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people just find us by walking down the link road or hearing about us from their neighbors. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day and dealing with heavy equipment, but it keeps us busy. We try to get things done on time, though sometimes parts take a bit longer to arrive than we expect. That’s just the reality of engineering. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same, just keeping the machines running.
