Amandeep Engineering Works

We are based at 2180/1 Janta Nagar, right across from where Sant Ram Sethi is located. It’s a well-known spot in this part of town. Our engineering shop is pretty typical for this area. We have our lathes and welding equipment all set up in the main room. It’s not a very tidy place, but we know exactly where every wrench and hammer is kept. There’s usually a pile of metal parts waiting to be repaired near the entrance. We spend most of our day working on these things, often getting our hands dirty and our clothes stained with grease. It’s just part of the job. We don’t really go in for much talk or fancy sales pitches. If someone brings us a part to fix, we look at it and tell them when it will be ready. Sometimes it takes longer if we have to wait for materials, but we try to keep moving. The heat in the summer can be tough, but we have a few fans that keep the air moving a little bit. We’ve been in Janta Nagar for many years, so we’ve seen shops come and go. We just stay here and keep doing our engineering work. It’s a steady life and it feels good to finish a job and see a machine working again. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing our bit in the neighborhood.
