Shiva Kirana Store

Shiva Kirana Store is located at Kailash Chowk in Nimantaran Colony, Ludhiana. We have been serving this part of the city for a good number of years. It is a standard kirana shop where you can find everything from loose tea to packaged spices. The shop is tucked away in the colony, so it is mostly a local crowd that comes through the door. We keep a lot of stuff in bulk, so there are usually gunny bags of pulses sitting around. It is a bit cramped inside, especially when more than two people are waiting. We do not use any computers for billing, just a simple notebook to keep track of things. The neighborhood is fairly busy, but our corner stays familiar. We know which family prefers which brand of cooking oil. It is not a glossy store with glass doors. It is just an open front with shutters that we pull down at night. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road for a bit, but people are used to it. We try to keep the stock fresh, though sometimes things sell out faster than we expect. It is just me and a helper most days. We stay open until late evening so people can pick up things after work. It is a basic, honest shop for the people living around Kailash Chowk. We do our best to keep everything in stock for the neighbors.
